Indo-Korea Science and Technology (IKST) Center, located at Bangalore, is the Indian branch of Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Seoul, funded by Government of Korea.
IKST was founded in 2010 and is responsible for promoting collaboration between Indian and Korean research scientists and Institutes to work on problems of common interest and develop new technologies as well as exchange of human resources between the two nations.
Two post-doctoral research fellow positions are available immediately in the group of Prof. Pil-Ryung Cha, School of Advanced Materials Engineering, Kookmin University, Seoul. The candidate will be involved in the computational design of corrosion-resistant alloys. The candidate should have experience with calculations based on density functional theory. A PhD in physics, materials science, or chemistry is required. It would be advantageous if candidates had prior experience with methods such as phase field modeling and/or cluster expansion approach. Candidates for the roles listed above should have excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as a track record of scientific publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
Other important details: The position will be based in Seoul. The monthly remuneration would be about 3 million KRW.
