Seung Cheol Lee
Dr. Seung-Cheol Lee is currently a Director at Indo-Korea Science and Technology Center and a Principal Research Scientist, Center for Electronic Materials Research, Korea Institute of Science and Technology. He obtained his M.S. in Metallurgical Engineering from Seoul National University (1995) and Ph.D.(1999) in Metallurgical Engineering from Seoul National University under the supervision of Prof. Jong Kyu Yoon. Then he joined Korea Institute of Science and Technology as a postdoctoral researcher, research scientist, and principal research scientist. He was a visiting scientist of Band Theory Group, Daresbury Laboratory, UK from 2003 to 2004 and Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, RWTH Aachen, Germany. His current research interests are theoretical understanding and prediction of new functional materials such as catalysts, magnetic materials, and structural materials through machine learning technique.
